Awwww man, I'm so hyped I got down with this event & Supported the movement for DMC's. It's Never Been to Denver. It's been overshadowed for many of years. But we supporting it and bringing it back! Rough, Rugged and Raw with a whole new formula & keeping the 'Battleground' Alive! The Night was Dope!The Vibe & Venue was just right. A 'homie' union of sorts as many All-Star Colorado Hip-Hoppa's filled the room, to support. I did my best to Keep the energy levels up at all night, Party Rocking!. The Crowd was definitely enjoying themselves, as they spent good money to be entertained.

I took a chance and rolled the dice with this event, really not knowing what to except. I have watched & supported the DMC's from the years past, watching some legendary DJ's from ROC Raida, (R.I.P.),QBert,to Kraze.With so many more DJ's to name, that have paid their dues, practiced religiously for years in their bedroom getting a 2min battle routine together, as they climb the ranks to that Legendary DJ status. So, speaking with some of my DJ friends, it seems as many DJ's have turned the other cheek to the art of turntablism. Battles'got thrown to the sidelines.I have to continue to carry on tradition & make sure the 'Battle Element' is always involved, within the culture! It's all about building Skillz together, iron sharpens iron, we breed, beats, rhymes & Life, peace, Love and unity! Alot of people Came together and supported the event! Some Novice DJ's who never been in a battle, took a risk and at least tried, much love for that!. It's going to be, even bigger&better next year It's a constant reminder that we need to stay, community , grassroots, & support each other that are trying to do the same. Bigg-up to Christie Z.
